Did you know that Uranus is the coldest planet in our solar system? What about the fact that it has rings? This video will teach your kids interesting facts about the planet Uranus.

Uranus is an especially unique planet. Even the origins of its name make it stand out, because it is named after the Greek god of the sky. Most of the other planets are named after Roman gods. It is quite far away from the Sun and about one point eight billion miles away from Earth.

Uranus is one of two ice giants in the solar system, which means than most of its mass is made of “icy” materials above a small rocky core. Its atmosphere is made mostly of hydrogen, helium, and methane, which is much different than Earth’s atmosphere.
