Its capital city, Moscow, is the political and cultural heart of the country. Moscow’s famous landmarks include the Kremlin and St. Basil's Cathedral.

Russia has a long and storied history that spans hundreds of years. It is a tale that involves occupation, overthrow, and the expansion and reduction of borders.
