Did you know that leopards have excellent night vision and are great climbers? Learn these facts and others (and read along with us!) in this educational kid’s video all about leopards.

Leopards are big cats with strong muscles and sleek bodies covered in golden-yellow fur with black spots called rosettes. The rosettes help them blend into their surroundings. Leopards have excellent eyesight and hearing to help them catch animals like deer, monkeys, and birds. They are also excellent climbers and swimmers, and they use their long tails to help them balance. They can be found in forests, mountains, grasslands, and even deserts in parts of Africa and Asia. These wildcats adapt well to different environments!

Most of the time, leopards live alone. They are solitary animals, meaning they like to spend time alone instead of in big groups. Each leopard has its own territory, and it marks this space with scents and scratches on trees so that other leopards stay away.
