When you think of natural disasters, what comes to mind? Droughts might not have been at the top of your list. But today, in this educational video, we are going to talk more about them.

Droughts can happen over months or years, depending on the circumstances and the area. They become an issue when the lack of water affects the usual water supply for irrigation, municipal and industrial needs, energy, and the ecosystem.

All droughts are not the same, and there are four main types: meteorological, agricultural, hydrological, and socioeconomic.
