Do you know what holiday is celebrated every year on November 11th? If you said Veterans Day, you know your stuff! In this educational video for kids we are going to talk more about this holiday and its history.

Veterans Day is a time when we celebrate and pay tribute to those who are serving and who have served in the military. Unlike Memorial Day, which is a day to celebrate those who have died in military service, Veterans Day honors all soldiers both living and deceased.

The history of Veterans Day goes all the way back to World War I. The fighting of this great war officially ended on November 11, 1918, when an armistice, or truce, was signed. This day was originally known as Armistice Day, and honored those who fought and died in World War I. In 1926 the United States Congress passed a resolution to make Armistice Day a national holiday, and it was officially recognized in 1938.
