An archaeologist is kind of like a history detective, unearthing and discovering clues to piece together the story of our ancestors. Thanks to archaeologists, we know a lot about the peoples, animals, and cultures from the past… like the ancient Egyptians, ancient Romans, and even the dinosaurs!
If you like to use cool tools and gadgets, you are in luck! Archaeologists use tools like trowels, brushes, and metal detectors to help uncover and explore underground treasures. If they are exploring sites that are underwater, archaeologists might use special diving gear, underwater cameras, GPS, and sonar technology.
