In this video dad and son build a remote controlled (R/C) truck to tow an R/C lawnmower. Then they mow the lawn and landscape with it followed by playing a fun game a home with Bruder toy trucks.

Dad’s mowing the lawn with a push mower but can’t get it started. Instead of getting the zero turn mower, dad thinks up an idea with Kid Crew. They get a Traxxas TRX-4 R/C crawler to tow a special mowing attachment. They modify the Remote Controlled truck to handle the powerful mower by moving the hitch forward to better balance the center of gravity of the tow vehicle between the axles. This RC truck was basically unstoppable with in the snow with huge tracks, but they changed them out for tires so it can go faster. And then they upgrade the tires to boot with a more aggressive tread. It’s fun and easy to modify RC cars, especially because none of the fasteners are covered in rust and break. Then once the modifications are complete, dad and Kid Crew go to the back deck to control the truck from a distance to mow the lawn. This is a much easier way to do it. The mower makes nice straight lines and is done in no time. And dad didn’t even have to sweat. Then we play a fun game at home with Bruder toys to install landscaping at a new house’s construction site. The excavator, bulldozer, and backhoe are done, but the crew needs to grow and lay down sod. Then we cut it with another unconventional tool, though of course we could use scissors too. RC toys can be so fun and useful! In the educational segment we learn how electrical relays work.

While we play our games and drive our vehicles, we learn about engineering, science, STEM, and how things work in our educational segment.
