Racing NASCAR Race Car at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Working on & pit stop. In this episode we go racing in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series with Joey Gase Motorsports at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. We get an awesome behind the scenes look at what it’s like to prepare and race a racecar. Then we play a fun game at home with 1:64 scale race cars, Hot Wheels, and a wooden track.

We’re coming along with Joey Gase Motorsports to an entire race weekend, and theres two days of work that happens behind the scenes to support a race. We start with unloading the car off of the semi truck hauler and then push it to the garage area. Then we need to put new racing tires on the car, so we head over to the Goodyear Racing area in the garage area to mount and balance one. First we load an empty wheel onto the tire mounting machine. Then we get a tire, apply soap to the bead, and then use the mounting machine to put the tire on the rim. Then we inflate and put the assembly onto the balancing machine. The machine indicates where to put weights to balance the tire perfectly. Then we cart our fresh tire back to the car and install it. Next, our car needs to go through NASCAR technical inspection to ensure the car is safe and that the racing is fair and close. Once clear, we hit the track for practice, which allows Joey’s team to make adjustments to the car. Then it’s qualifying to set the starting order, and the race! But first, we take a quick detour to meet Kid Crew’s favorite Cup series driver, Bubba Wallace. We then begin with pre-race festivities, driver introductions, a fly-over, and the drivers starting their engines. The cars start racing, but soon we have a pit stop. We watch our new tire get replaced at lighting speed as the pit crew goes over the wall and services Joey’s car. Then the race concludes with an exciting finish and the team packs up the hauler semi for the next race. Next we play a fun game at home racing Lionel Racing and Hot Wheels cars on a home-maid wooden racetrack. The cars go through the same steps as a real race weekend and concludes with a photo finish. In the educational segment we learn how racing tires work.

Come pretend play with us! Join us kids, toddlers, girls, and boys as we use our ride on toy trucks, toy tractors, and toy equipment to do construction, farming, and home improvement pretend play projects. While we play our games and drive our vehicles, we learn about engineering, science, STEM, and how things work in our educational segment.
