Did you know that ants will eat almost anything? Foods like meat, fruits and vegetables, and even soda and candy! Want to learn more? Don’t get… antsy! Today, in this educational video for kids, we are going to learn all about ants!
Unless you live somewhere like Iceland or Greenland where ants do not live, you have probably seen at least one ant in your lifetime. These insects come in a variety of colors, like black, red, and yellow, and live in large colonies or groups. Ants may differ in color and size, but their bodies are all divided into the same three sections: the head, the thorax, and the abdomen. Here’s an awesome ant fact: some ant colonies have over one million ants.
There are three different types of ants that live in a colony: the queen, the female workers, and the males. Want to know another amazing ant fact? The queen and the male ants actually have wings! The workers, which are the ants you probably come across in your day-to-day life, do not.
