A plural noun is a word that names more than one person, place, thing, animal or idea. When we write plural nouns, we always have to look at the end of the word. Normally, we add an s to make a plural noun. But, if a word ends in a ""hissing"" sound, we add -es and if it ends with a Y, we add -ies or sometimes just an s. Spelling rules are essential to write correctly. This is the fourth in our series of videos on spelling and grammar.
