Educational video for kids that teaches them what anaphora, irony, and onomatopoeia are and how to use them in a fun and creative way.

Anaphora is a figure of speech that consists of repeating one or more words at the beginning of several sentences or verses to give rhythm and reinforce an idea. For example:

โ€œHe dreams of the sea.

He dreams of flying.

He dreams of going far.โ€

Irony occurs when we say the opposite of what we really want to express, but make our intention clear. For example, when someone arrives soaked from the rain and we say, โ€œWhat a great day to go without an umbrella!โ€ we use irony to add humor to the situation.

Onomatopoeia is a figure of speech that imitates sounds with words. It is very common in comics or in phrases such as: โ€œtick-tockโ€ to represent the sound of a clock or โ€œcrash!โ€ when something breaks.

Can you think of any more examples? Surely you use these figures of speech every day without even realizing it!

This video is a very useful and interesting resource for children. It is perfect for introducing new types of figures of speech in elementary school and promoting creativity, reading, and writing.
