An educational podcast for children in which we travel back in time to 34 BC to talk to one of the most fascinating rulers of antiquity: Cleopatra. Cleopatra VII was an exceptionally cultured and intelligent leader who was born in Alexandria and belonged to the Ptolemaic dynasty. Unlike her predecessors, she learned to speak the language of her people, mastered astronomy and medicine, and proved that a queen had to be thoroughly prepared to rule.

Her path to power was not easy, as she had to confront her own brother, Ptolemy XIII, and flee Egypt after a civil war. Thanks to her ingenuity, her powers of persuasion, and a bold strategy to win the support of the Roman Julius Caesar, she managed to regain the throne and secure the future of her kingdom.

In this episode, we will learn about her childhood in the royal palace, the truth behind her famous anecdote about a carpet, and the meaning of her motto, “ginésthoi.” It's a fun and educational journey that teaches us that intelligence is more powerful than force.
