We Built Lifesaving Clinics Around The World
In this exciting video, we explore how shipping containers can transform into lifesaving medical clinics that reach people in need around the world! The journey begins with college students who work hard to build these amazing clinics, making a difference in areas where medical care is hard to find. We follow the delivery of a clinic to Chester, Texas, where the community gains access to healthcare for the first time, thanks to local hero Timber, who is passionate about helping others.
Next, we travel to Nigeria, where a new clinic will provide essential heart surgeries to children who otherwise wouldn't have the chance to get treated. We learn about the struggles families face and how this clinic changes lives by offering much-needed medical support.
The video also highlights the challenges faced in war-torn Ukraine, where clinics are being deployed to provide crucial medical supplies to communities affected by conflict. We see how partnerships with organizations like Neurogum help make these projects possible.
In Kenya, we unveil a clinic dedicated to treating club foot, showcasing how simple procedures can transform lives and provide hope to families. Finally, we send off a clinic to Worcester, Massachusetts, which will serve local families with free health screenings. Throughout the video, we see the incredible impact of these clinics, which will help over 10,000 people a year. This inspiring story shows how young people can create positive change and improve lives, reminding us that everyone has the power to make a difference!
We Built Lifesaving Clinics Around The World
In many parts of the world, basic medical care just isn’t accessible. People live hours from the nearest doctor, or don’t have access at all. That’s what this project set out to change.
We teamed up with students from BUILD at Texas A&M to turn shipping containers into fully functioning medical clinics and deliver them to communities that need them most. But what stuck with us wasn’t just the clinics or even the number of people helped. It was seeing how something built by students here in the US could change someone’s life thousands of miles away.
