How to draw a Robin in flight, pencil drawing and shading for beginners step by step using a regular HB graphite pencil. I first lightly sketch out some guidelines and then begin to draft out the basic layout of the Robin's body.
Once I'm happy with the general layout I begin to add details and apply shading with the outside of the pencil. I block in darkest tones, mid tones and lightest tones but I gradually build up the mid and dark tones throughout the drawing process.
