Reading is one of the most essential parts of learning a language and young learners find it difficult at the beginning and they'll feel bored if you follow a traditional way to read it over and over.

I use different methods for each level/group but for every age group, I use these steps you see in the video.

I will write some useful tips for how to make reading more interesting and easier you will find them helpful.

If you are going to start teaching story/reading, first make sure the kids are familiar with letters, and they can recognize and produce the sounds.

After that, teach short vowels (a,e, i,o,u) and Simple CVC words like cat, pen, pin, dog, bus, etc.

Don't forget the sight words. If they can memorize more sight words, it will make the task easier. When they are ready they start teaching stories.

When teaching a story, first teach the title, then characters, then sight words and keywords, and the scene, what the story is about.

You can play some games or do some activities to practice the main structure, Even a flashcard game for very young learners to help them to memorize the main sentence.

Rearrange the sentence and sentence structure is also important, and this is the way they can put the words in order and make them meaningful. As you see in the video, I use this way and they are comfortable with it.

Then read in groups and individually. And yeah! don't forget the roleplay. Comprehension (ask some questions about it) will test them if they understand and they can also learn other related words and sentences. Post-reading questions (questions about the story at the end) will help you to test how much they know or remember about the story.

So during the class, you don't have enough time to practice more that's why to encourage them to practice it at home so that they will be more confident and fluent.
