Poppy Ellie is about to enjoy her pink ice cream when Branch Eric accidentally startles her, causing her to drop it. Feeling sorry, Eric offers his purple ice cream, but Ellie, disappointed, refuses. They both start making their own colored slimes - Ellie's pink and Eric's purple. When Uncle Gristle arrives, he causes chaos by bursting their balloons and tricking them into a time-out room with Mr. Cloud, who's lost his ability to make rainbows.
Using teamwork, Ellie and Eric escape using their slime and set a playful trap for Gristle. They then find shiny tinsel, helping Mr. Cloud regain his rainbow-making power. However, the rainbow is missing pink and purple. Ellie and Eric contribute their colors, learning that all colors are beautiful when they come together.
Lesson Learned: The story teaches kids the importance of teamwork, and problem-solving, and that diversity, like all the different colors, makes things more beautiful.
