The Terracotta Army for Kids - ChaCha's long-lost toy dino turns up in the garage, and ChuChu asks Dad: Has anything in history ever been found by accident? Yes! In 1974, farmers in China digging for a well found life-size clay soldiers. Archaeologists uncovered huge pits holding thousands of statues with bows, spears, swords, horses and chariots, some still with their original paint. This is the famous Terracotta Army, created for Qin Shi Huang, China's first emperor. His tomb lies close by but has never been opened, to keep it safe. Ancient writers described model palaces inside, rivers of shimmering mercury and a ceiling of stars. And Cussly? He's grabbed a spade to dig up some history of his own!

In this episode, kids learn:

• How the Terracotta Army was discovered by accident

• Who Qin Shi Huang was and why the army was made

• Why the emperor's tomb is still unopened
