Read a Book by Leigha Marina is an upbeat nursery rhyme and reading song for kids about Bebo the penguin and his friends taking adventures through the pages of a book. The five little penguins gather to read the words and look at pictures of rockets, planets, ships, and treasure. Their next trip is waiting on the page.

Bebo, Okee, Makaio, Nora, and Mia take off in a rocket and travel among the stars. They visit Jupiter and Mars, then land to meet a green alien. There is astronaut ice cream to share, and everyone has a cone as they spend time together.

Their next adventure takes them out to sea. Bebo holds the wheel of a sailing ship while his friends travel beside him. Giant waves surround them on their search for a treasure chest, but the little penguins stay brave and keep going.

They reach an island and find the chest in the sand. Light shines out when it opens, and the adventure brings them back home, where they gather around their open book again.

Lyrics:

Open the page read the words

And look at the pictures

Open your creativity

And go on an adventure

Hop on a rocket see the stars

Visit jupiter and mars

Meet an alien who’s green

You share your astronaut ice cream

There’s so much of the world to see

All you have to do is learn to read

Read a book and look

At all the places you can go

Fly to space or sail the sea

And you don’t have to leave your home

Sail a ship in the sea

In the sea you feel so free

You’re on a dangerous quest

To find a treasure chest

All around are giant waves

But you and your friends are brave

You won’t give up ever

Until you found the treasure

There’s so much of the world to see

All you have to do is learn to read

Read a book and look

At all the places you can go

Fly to space or sail the sea

And you don’t have to leave your home
