We took Owen on a surprise trip to "Florida" for his 6th birthday. He loves Cici's Pizza (which is nowhere within even HOURS of where we live), so we made our own Cici's and then went to Legoland "Florida" (luckily Owen can't read the word "California" on the signs there). Owen really loves Florida and had been planning a trip there for his birthday all on his own, even though I was trying to drop the hint that we couldn't leave town this year. When even his school teacher was telling me about his elaborate trip to Florida plans, I knew we could make something work and the trip was just what he had hoped for. One day he will realize that the drive was 3-4 hours, not 3-4 days. (insert big smile of a loving mom here)
