00:00:00 Jet-Powered Office Chair
Bowler travels to San Bernardino, California, to meet Don Giandomenico: an electrician who builds jet engines from spare parts in his garage. Giandomenico's pride and joy is the GRV2, a homemade jet-powered motorbike. Now, Bowler challenges him to expand his prized invention and add a sidecar made of an office chair! In front of a cheering crowd, the two men strap into the new, warped contraption for a thrilling ride in the desert.
00:22:03 Basketball-Playing Robot
Steve Norris is a robotics genius from Medford, Massachusetts, whose home is filled with robot servants made out of trash cans, coolers, and handi-vacs. Since most of the robots are on the small side, Bowler challenges Norris to break out of his routine and build a BIG robot: one tall enough to play basketball, that can beat them in a game! On the eve of the public reveal, their gigantic robot fails miserably, and both men work frantically to fix the problems.
The Moon Jumper
In Reno, Nevada, Bowler works with the Needham brothers: a pair of wildly adventurous scientists who have built a one-man "Moon Jumper". This machine is a 40-foot-long counterweighted teeter-totter that spins atop a two-story-high telephone pole in the desert like a merry-go-round, and allows for a 90 degree jump straight up!
