Try it out and see what you can pick up with it! Why not make one for each hand and pretend you are in a real robot movie?
⭕ Materials:
- Cardboard
- Straws
- Elastic
- String
- Scissors
- Pen
- Ruler
- Hot glue gun and glue
⭕ Instructions:
(1) Trace and cut around your arm on a piece of cardboard
(2) Use the ruler to bend each part of the fingers
(3) With a smaller piece of cardboard, glue the strip of elastic on both sides. Then, glue this on to the arm.
(4) Next, cut your straws to fit each part of the finger and secure them to the hand with glue.
(5) Then, thread a piece of string through each of the straws on each finger.
(6) Glue the end of the string at the tip of the finger, then tie a loop at the other end of the string.
(7) Now place your hand through the elastic and attach each loop onto your fingers. Move them around, and now you have your own robotic arm! What things can you pick up?
