Danny the Dinosaur Story
Danny the dinosaur loved to play
He ran, jumped, stomped, and roared all day, from morning to night.
One day, Danny walked past his friend Teddy Triceratops laying underneath a tree.
"Teddy, what are you doing?" asked Danny.
"I love to rest so that I have more energy when I play," said Teddy. "You should try it."
"But I don't want to stop playing," said Danny.
But Danny noticed that he did feel tired.
His feet were sore and his tail felt very heavy.
Danny found a big shady tree and closed his eyes.
When he woke up, Danny felt strong and ready to play again.
He ran faster, jumped higher, and roared louder.
From that day, Danny learned that resting was just as important as playing.
He made sure to rest so he could have even more fun.
