They can be found in the savanna and the desert and can weigh between 550 and 660 pounds and measure up to 8 feet long. Finally, the giraffe is a vertebrate animal, meaning it has an internal skeleton. It belongs to the group of mammals and is herbivorous, mainly eating leaves from the trees it finds in its habitat.
