"Once upon a time, there was a forester who gathered wood in the forest. One fine day, the forester found an unusual piece of wood. He hurried to pick it up, and when he held it in his hands, he exclaimed enthusiastically:

'Good heavens, what a beautiful stump! I’m going to carve a little stool out of it to rest on after my hikes.

The forester sat down and immediately got to work. As soon as he began carving, the forester heard a shout:

Hey, what are you doing?!

The forester looked around in fear but saw no one. He started carving the wood again when he heard the same voice:

“Ouch! That hurts!”

The frightened forester dropped the piece of wood. After making sure no one was nearby, the forester picked up the wood and ran as fast as he could until he reached the home of a puppet maker named Geppetto. The woodcutter knocked insistently on the door, and Geppetto opened it:

"Geppetto! Forgive me for coming uninvited, but look at this piece of wood I found!..."
