In this exciting episode, Xan and his friend Darb find themselves in a perilous situation when they encounter strange, angry little creatures that seem to be miniature dragons! As they flee from the pests, Xan recalls his fears about entering the hollow, a place where magic doesn't work. Instead, he uses his powers to zap them to safety. After healing their stings, the two friends ponder the mysterious creatures and the possibility of a wormhole to another world.
Suddenly, Xan feels a strong emotional connection with his grandfather, Bos, who seems to be in distress. When Xan returns home, he is shocked to find a strange man in his house. The man claims to be an old friend of Bos, but Xan is suspicious and demands to know where his grandfather is. In a tense moment, the stranger freezes Xan's dragon, Zing, with illegal magic. Acting quickly, Xan zaps himself and Zing away just before his house explodes in a burst of debris!
In the aftermath, Xan and Zing regroup with Darb and share the terrifying events. Worried about Bos's safety, Xan sends a message moth to locate his grandfather, but it returns helplessly. Meanwhile, the stranger, who survived the explosion, plots to find Xan before he can reveal the shocking truth. With adventure and mystery at every turn, Xan must navigate the challenges ahead to uncover the fate of his grandfather and confront the dangers lurking in their world.
