What a crazy moment. It felt like a year passing by as I watched Chris climbing higher and higher into a dead tree, trying to stay as far away from the buffalo as he could. The buffalo was pretty far away, and Chris decided to climb a tree, but then some people walked by the buffalo and made it move and it went straight to where Chris was in the tree. He had only been on the bottom two branches, but when he saw the huge buffalo coming, he climbed straight to the top! As I watched the scene play out, I was imagining the tree branches snapping below him, or all kinds of other scenarios. I didn't film as much because I was more concerned with staying away form the buffalo myself while also remaining close enough that I could tell Chris what to do to stay safe. I guess I'm glad my kids are strong and confident climbers!
