One and Four are playing a game of football with Two and Three, set against the backdrop of Flatland. Four boots the ball into Flatland it turns into a small red circle, awakening Flatland Four who explores the surfaces of the 3D Numberblocks. With his new findings, he learns to make 3D shapes using 2D shapes i.e. six squares joined together make a cube or a series of triangles help to make a pyramid. Eventually, the Numberblocks learn more about shapes and how to get their ball back from a circle to a sphere.
