One, Two, Three, Four, Five

Once I caught a butterfly alive

Six, seven, eight, nine, ten,

Then I let it fly again.

Why did you let it fly?

Because it tickled my hand, oh my!

Where did it tickle, you say?

This little palm as it flew away!

One, Two, Three, Four, Five

Once I caught an ant alive.

Six, seven, eight, nine, ten,

Then I let it go again.

Why did you let it go?

Because it bit my finger so.

Which finger did it bite you say?

This little finger, as it crawled away!

One, Two, Three, Four, Five

Once I caught a ladybug alive.

Six, seven, eight, nine, ten,

Then I let it go again.

Why did you let it go?

Because it wiggled my finger so.

Which finger did it wiggle , you say?

This little finger, and it flew away!
